20th International Volleyball Opening 2011
The VOP 2011 is over, we are looking forward towards next year's tournament (date is still open)!
The Volleyball Opening 2011 is an indoor Volleyball tournament and the opening of the 2011/12 indoor Volleyball season for many teams. It is a great opportunity to test your own team in the preparation phase short before the start of the championships. In the past years, many interesting teams have visited us: Hohnstaedter SV, VF Bayern Lohhof (Germany), Sor Estonie (Lettia), SK Ziar nad Hronom, VKP Bratislava (Slovakia), the national team of Liechtenstein and the most important Austrian Volleyball teams like Post SV, SVS Sokol, Wesser Graz, aon hotVolleys, Volleyball Salzburg, UAB and many more. Have a look which teams participated in the last years.
Place and time:
September 24th and 25th, 2011 in Mödling, Perchtoldsdorf, Ma. Enzersdorf and Südstadt, four small towns very near to Vienna/Austria.The competition will take place in four to five gyms on ten to fifteen courts. The tournament starts on Saturday at 10 am and ends on Sunday at approx. 4 pm.
Contests:
There are four contests for men and women teams, separated by the league the teams are playing. Additionally there is an extra contest for mixed teams.
- Men A High level (first and second league in Austria, International participants)
- Women A High level (first and second league in Austria, International participants)
- Men B Lower level (Austrian teams playing in regional leagues)
- Women B Lower level (Austrian teams playing in regional leagues)
- Mixed Mixed teams from all levels. A minimum of three women have to be playing at any time.
The tournaments start on Saturday around noon and end on Sunday around 4 pm.
Registration:
If you are interested in this tournament, please register online as soon as possible. The number of participants is limited and the number of interested teams usually exceeds the number of teams which can participate, so it is very important that we receive your inscription as soon as possible and latest until September 13.
Registration fee:
The registration fee is € 75,- per team, payable to our bank account at the time of registration. Additionally we ask you to pay a deposit of EUR 75,- which will be refunded if your team actively participates on both days of the torunament. The refund will be done via bank transfer to a bank account you name us during registration. Additional conditions apply on when the deposit is not being refunded.
Accomodation:
Teams can stay overnight in one of our gyms for EUR 20,- per team. If you want to stay in a youth hostel or a hotel at your own cost, please have a look on our partner hotels.
Other:
There will be a buffet in all the gyms. Saturday night there will be a party with dance music, bars and a lot of fun!
